Love on a Sunday

some sundays

we lay in bed,

a compact unit

of perfect harmony

you, me & our son

warm in a cocoon

of love & contentment

i wanted to die then,

to hold fast forever

that happiness.

each week now I switch

the sides of the bed

the child is grown

you are gone and

sundays are not special
